Grant Engine’s Enterprise-Grade Security Framework

At Grant Engine, data security is not an afterthought—it’s a foundational commitment. As a partner to some of the most innovative companies in life sciences, deep tech, and defense, we understand that trust and confidentiality are not optional.

Our platform is designed to uphold and exceed industry standards, drawing on battle-tested tools whose security models are transparent, robust, and independently validated. We leverage a select suite of enterprise solutions—Google Workspace (G-Suite) Business, Dropbox Business, and Zoom Professional—each chosen for their demonstrated leadership in information security and regulatory compliance. Every vendor in our stack has undergone rigorous security audits and certifications, and each tool is implemented in accordance with best practices for access control, encryption, and redundancy.

Google Workspace Business

Google Workspace is central to our internal and client communications, providing secure infrastructure for email, calendar, and collaborative tools. Google’s security approach is defined in their detailed Google Cloud Security and Compliance whitepaper, where they state:

“As a cloud pioneer, Google fully understands the security implications of the cloud model… Security drives our organizational structure, training priorities, and hiring processes. It shapes our data centers and the technology they house. It’s central to our everyday operations and disaster planning, including how we address threats.”

Google data centers maintain geographic redundancy, layered physical security, and undergo regular third-party audits aligned with ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2, and FedRAMP. Their infrastructure security model spans from custom-built server hardware to secure boot stacks and end-user data encryption both at rest and in transit.

Dropbox Business

Dropbox Business is our document management and collaboration backbone. Via our Standard plan, we benefit from a platform that is SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 27018, and CSA STAR certified.

Dropbox’s Security White Paper outlines a multi-tiered approach to safeguarding data:

“At Dropbox, the security of your data is our highest priority. We have a dedicated security team using the best tools and engineering practices available to build and maintain Dropbox, and you can rest assured that we’ve implemented multiple levels of security to protect and back up your files.”

Dropbox encrypts files in transit with TLS and at rest using 256-bit AES. All data is stored in data centers with strong physical security controls, and the platform includes native support for SSO, granular admin permissions, and activity monitoring for enterprise users.

Zoom Professional with End-to-End Encryption

Our team uses Zoom Professional, fortified with enhancements from Zoom’s acquisition of Keybase, a secure messaging and cryptography company. Following the integration, Zoom released a management statement outlining their renewed commitment to security, available here:

“Zoom absolutely delivers a safe and secure virtual meeting environment when used with the appropriate safeguards to protect meetings, like enabling passwords and waiting rooms… Zoom has been – and continues to be – the platform of choice for many sophisticated organizations all over the world.”

Zoom offers AES 256-bit GCM encryption, waiting rooms, meeting passcodes, and host controls to limit screen sharing and file transfers. Zoom is also SOC 2 Type II, ISO/IEC 27001, and HIPAA-compliant, making it appropriate for regulated industries and sensitive discussions.

At Grant Engine, security is not just a feature—it’s a continuous practice. Our internal team regularly revisits access policies, enforces strict confidentiality requirements, and aligns workflows with the most current cybersecurity protocols. We remain vigilant, because your data is vital—to you, to us, and to the success of the mission.
